Senior Pastor

Audie and Candy Clairmont is our Senior Pastor and wife at the Church of the Living Word, in Ovid, Michigan. They have pastored the church since November 1st of 1996. Pastor Audie graduated from Trinity Bible College (Ellendale, North Dakota) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible Theology, and a minor in Missions. He and his wife have worked for Teen Challenge Drug Rehabilitation Center (Denver, Colorado). They also spent time working as street evangelists for a ministry in which they helped start called Agape Inc. (San Francisco, California). As street evangelists, they held crusades in the streets, ministered to junkies, prostitutes, homosexuals, and others that are considered to be outcasts by society.

Pastor Audie and Candy pastored their first church in 1980. He also spent time in Thailand doing missionary work. In June of 2001, Pastor Audie and Candy celebrated 25 years of marriage. They have four children and six grandchilren. Pastor Audie preaches and teaches on issues that relate to everyday practical living. He and Candy believe in reaching outside the walls by every means possible to touch people's lives. One of those is the "Blessing of the Bikers"; a ministry devoted to reaching out to bikers with the love of Jesus Christ. Pastor Audie is also a member of the Capital Area Hog Group (Harley Owener's Group); a group devoted to Harley Davidson Riders. He loves riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and he and his wife love reaching out to people, and loving them. Pastor Audie and Candy's ministry will bless you.

Assistant Pastor

Kirk and Doreen Brookins is our Assistant Pastor and wife at the Church of the Living Word. He has been working full-time with Pastor Audie since February of 2000. Prior to 2000, he was an Elder of the Church for four years and the head of the Ministry of Helps. Pastor Kirk and Doreen were married March 28, 1980. They have been blessed with four wonderful children who love Jesus; Travis, Jeremiah, Jessica, and Kayleen.

Pastor Kirk received his call for the ministry in 1980; two years after making Jesus the Lord of his life. A year later, Pastor Kirk and Doreen left the family farm in Ovid, MI and moved to Cedar Springs, MI to attend Jordan College. A year later he transferred to Good News International Bible School in Owosso, MI to complete his studies in Bible Theology.
