Don’t Let Life’s Struggles Offend You.
Offense – gk – “scandalizo”-“scandalize”…. “give offense to”- “having bad, ill feelings”.
- It means…to cause a person to begin to distrust and desert one whom he ought to trust and obey, to cause to fall away.
- To see in another what I disapprove of and what hinders me from acknowledging his authority,
- To cause one to judge unfavorably or unjustly of another.
- To be displeased.
John 6:61-AMP
61 But Jesus, knowing within Himself that His disciples were
complaining and protesting and grumbling about it, said to them: Is
this a stumbling block and an offense to you? [Does this upset and
displease and shock and scandalize you?]
