Seeking God When We Are Overwhelmed
Psalm 61:1-4
1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is
overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the
enemy. 4 I will abide in thy tabernacle forever: I will trust in the covert of thy
wings. Selah.
1 Seek Solitude-(Alone time with God).
… Lead ME to the Rock… …guide me into your glory, where I am safe and sheltered.
Matthew 14:12-13-Passion
12 John’s disciples went into the prison and carried his body away
and buried it. Then they left to find Jesus and tell him what had
happened. 13 On hearing this, Jesus slipped away privately by boat to be alone.
But when the crowds discovered he had sailed away, they emerged
from all the nearby towns and followed him on foot.
